Endangered Species

Do you ever feel like an endangered species?  Do you feel that your job may become obsolete?  As humans we must adapt and evolve to survive.  I don’t want to just survive, I want to thrive!  A few years ago I realized that I was one of the last surviving home-based parents, and I felt a lot of pressure to adapt to a new way of nurturing.  I began to question how I could continue nurturing at home in a way that would benefit the entire family unit.  I decided to take an anthropological approach and observe other nurturers, home-based and work-abroad, in my quest for survival.

I have discovered that all nurturers (parents, caregivers, teachers, health care practitioners, and any human caring for another human) feel endangered and that we can learn from each other in order to survive.  My exploration in this blog is an extension of my experiment that I have compiled into a book I hope will be publishable by next year.

My next blog will explore Semi-hibernation and the art of thrival.
