Privacy for Parents

Locking the door is a luxury as a parent.  Most caregivers won’t divulge their secret stress about what mischief may occur while their in the loo.  The door is usually unlocked for potty emergencies or teeth brushing, so the only privacy is the shower curtain.

Now that my offspring are a bit older and require their own privacy, showers are rarely interrupted (adding another bathroom didn’t hurt either).  I can now lock the door for my personal business and I no longer have to accompany my children during theirs.

What are your pet peeves and grievances about privacy as a nurturer?

May you thrive as you relish whatever moments you have to yourself.
