As a nurturing parent, for me the key to thrival is being soulful and/or spiritual. Just as we feed and exercise our physical body it is important to feed and exercise our spirit. These suggestions are especially helpful during dark or stressful days.
1. Meditation. Watching television does not count–sorry. Find your own practice whether it be prayer or basketball, or prayer and basketball. Meditation is a practice of mental, physical, and emotional focus.
2. Read and listen to wise words and uplifting music.
3. Focus on the highest and greatest good of others.
